November 2023: Most Value-Able Players
These team members have been nominated by their colleagues for demonstrating our core values in their work.
Bryan Paar: Director of Athletic Operations (PMAC) – EXCELLENCE, SERVICE
With arguably one of the most time-consuming and difficult jobs in the department, Bryan Paar is one of the easiest people to work with on a project or event. He treats each task with excellence meaning he always puts in the same amount of 100% effort into an exhibition game to game with a sold out crowd to a National Championship parade. When the WBB premiere party idea came up less than a week before the event, he did not have a bad attitude about it or sweat the details. He just said 'Let's get it done' and is always looking for solutions as his first answer to a question. I very much appreciate the excellence and effort he puts into his work! (nominated by Emily Dixon)
Bryan has helped our department with several different projects. From staying after hours to help set up video and photo shoots, coordinating with companies to install facility upgrades, answering or finding the answer to any questions that our department may have, and much more. Bryan always shows attentiveness to our needs with an eagerness to make LSU great. (nominated by Tyler Schiefelbein)
Lee Scioneaux: Director of Video Boards/Live Events – RESPECT
Lee has been so particularly helpful in meeting me where I am and helping me succeed in television production for this season of The Path. I enjoy our talks and he treats me with respect in telling me how it is without demeaning. Thank you Lee! (nominated by Emily Dean)
Ryan Sehrer: Football Videographer – GROWTH
Ryan has exemplified growth in a remarkable way. His journey in the field of videography, specifically in filming football, has been nothing short of inspiring. Through dedication and continuous learning, he has transformed into a proficient videographer, capturing the excitement and intricacies of the game with remarkable precision. His growth in this area is a testament to the power of perseverance and commitment.
In addition to his growth in filming, Ryan has also honed his expertise in video editing. By embracing new techniques and editing close to Matt, his latest videos are polished and engaging and capture the essence of an LSU gameday/practice. His creative flair and commitment to excellence are evident in his edits, and it's clear that his evolution in this aspect mirrors our company's dedication to growth.
Lastly, Ryan's commitment to our docuseries "The Path" is a testament to his understanding of our core value. He doesn't just excel in his role; he actively seeks ways to contribute to the collective growth of the team. Ryan's willingness to provide constructive feedback and insights during the production of "The Path" has been invaluable.
For me personally, it has helped me see things that I may have overlooked on first edits. He actively engages with the team, fostering an environment of collaboration, improvement, and shared success. Ryan's growth in giving feedback exemplifies the kind of team player we cherish at LSU, reinforcing the importance of our core value - growth – in shaping our collective success. (nominated by Giovanni Lamonte)
Ross Viltz: Executive Director – Premium Seating – EXCELLENCE
Ross Viltz epitomizes excellence and ensures we are elite everything we do. He has pride in his work and is driven to do his job better than ever. He’s a positive example for our TAF staff, Athletics, and LSU overall. Ross and his team have meticulously recruited, developed, and maintained an incredible staff. His work ethic attracts other elite performers. Ross goes above and beyond duties outside of his responsibilities to elevate a championships culture in our premium spaces, and this contagious optimism spills over to other areas of Athletics on gameday and beyond. (nominated by Jamie Hall)
Leroy Williams: Custodian Supervisor – EXCELLENCE
Every morning I see Leroy and his staff work extremely hard to keep football ops pristine as possible. They take extreme ownership in their job and they do it with a smile on their face and always ready to greet other employees with a hello. (nominated by Ryan Sehrer)
