No Rain Delay For Trick or Treat 2024

Thursday, October 31, 2024 was about as memorable as you can get for an Athletic Department Trick or Treat! Over 60 employees took part in the annual Halloween celebration sharing their creativity, comradery, and candy with each other for a mid-day break on the 6th floor of the Athletic Administration Building.

There were a number of opportunities to contribute to the festivities of the day including a door decorating contest and a costume contest that identified the Best Group Costume, Best Pair Costume, Most Original and Grand Overall Costume.

“Beetlejuice”

Winner of the “Best Door Decorating” went to Wendy Wilson for the exceptionally creative efforts behind her “Beetlejuice” themed door.

“101 Dalmatians”

Winner of the “Best Group Costume” went to the dastardly Cruella De Vil (Pam LeBlanc) and her cute litter of 101 Dalmatians.

“Emmy Award Trophy”

Winner of the “Most Original Costume” went to the Emmy Award Statue, adorned by Emily Dean.

“Dionne & Cher”

Winner of the “Best Pair Costume” went to the dynamic duo from Clueless, Dionne and Cher (Taylor Jacobs and Ashleigh Clare Kearney Thigpen).

"Emmy Award Trophy”

And the Grand Overall Costume Winner was Emily Dean, taking home two coveted skeleton trophies that exemplified her ongoing Growth and Authenticity!

With spooky music filling the air, and disco lights lighting the hallway, participants went office to office collecting sweets and treats and just enjoyed the extended lunch break. There was a ton of pizza, chips and dips, not to mention a creepy charcuterie board, a cookie cake, cupcakes, and dirt and mud graveyard cups.

Sand castle buckets filled with a variety of candy from the Business Office was ready for the offering too! But the best part was gathering in the conference room, providing the drum roll prior to announcing the winners, and seeing the face of the chosen ones!

For this LSU Athletics Trick or Treat, everyone was a winner…no wet costumes, no soggy candy, and good office fun! Emmy Awards for all~ especially those other great team efforts: NIL’s “Men In Black” and the Business Office’s “SharkNado”!
