February 2025: Core Value Most Valuable Players!

These team members have been nominated by their colleagues for demonstrating our core values in their work.

Eric Hummel, Assistant Ticket Manager: AUTHENTICITY, RESPECT, SERVICE

“Eric Hummel exemplifies Respect, Service, and Authenticity. At the first gymnastics meet of the season, an older fan visiting from another country fell outside the venue. As she received medical attention, she felt terrible that her family, including her two granddaughters, might lose out on decent seats with their general admission tickets due to the delay. After hearing her story, I shared it with Eric, and without hesitation, he secured them better seats with an incredible view of the floor. His actions embody the spirit of lagniappe hospitality—genuine, thoughtful, and always willing to go the extra mile. His kindness turned their day around and left a lasting impression on a family visiting town during the holidays. Thank you, Eric!” (nominated by Matthew Savoy)

 Mitchell Scaglione, Photography Coordinator: PERSEVERANCE

“Mitchell has stepped up and taken on additional responsibilities following recent staff changes in the photography department. He works hard every day to ensure we showcase student-athletes and their sports at the highest level. His dedication and effort have been instrumental in positioning our students for success.” (nominated by Gus Stark)

Leighann Westfall, Vice President of Donor Relations and Stewardship: SERVICE

“This was Leighann's first year helping plan LSU Baseball's First Pitch Banquet and our first ever Women's Clinic. Her and Sierra, went above and beyond with helping out in any way they could to make sure both events were successful. When it was noticed that a staff members last name was misspelled on over 1,000 programs the night before the First Pitch Banquet, Leighann got the printing company to correct it and produce enough for the table that he and his family were sitting at. Instead of just accepting the mistake she went above and beyond to correct it, in order to make the staff member feel special.” (nominated by Matthew Montgomery)
