FEMALE ATHLETES: A Study in Resilience

We would like to invite female athletes to be a part of the Female Athlete Resilience Study (FAR), a new study funded by the Wu Tsai Human Performance Alliance. LSU Athletics has been involved similar work with female athletes previously through the Female Athlete Body Project (FAB) and believe this line of research is invaluable in its ability to create evidence-based programming that improves outcomes for female athletes around the world!

Female athletes in the United States are invited to participate in a research study to investigate female athlete psychological resilience. This study includes four time points over the period of one year. This research is being conducted by investigators at Pennington Biomedical Research Center/Louisiana State University, Trinity University, and Harvard University. To be eligible, participants must be a female athlete age 18 or older. Participants will be compensated for their time with payment up to $80 (via Amazon gift cards) for completion of the entire study. Athletes will be compensated after each survey in the following manner: $25 for baseline, $15 at 3months, $20 at 6, and $20 at 12 months.

Please share this flyer with any female athletes at your institution who might be interested in the FAR study. This study has been approved by the Pennington Biomedical Research Center IRB.  Thank you for your time and interest in the project and please let us know if you have any questions.

Participants can access and enroll in the study here: https://FemaleAthleteResilience.com
