Leaders Wear Many Hats

Dr. LaKeitha Poole has served the LSU student-athletes as the SPC Director since 2016

For most of us, it has been a monumental feat to keep our heads up, remain focused, and take care of important business during the last year. To say that Dr. LaKeitha Poole, LPC-S has stepped up to this challenge would be undervaluing her efforts. Like many, she’s had to reach deep into her psyche to maneuver the emotional turmoil that has left us wondering how we can help each other when we are still trying to pave our own path. One thing is clear… the guidance and expertise she has brought to LSU Athletics as the Director of Sport Psychology and Counseling (SPC) as well as serving as special assistant to the Athletic Director on Equity, Inclusion, and Diversity, has us in awe.
