Those who have had the opportunity to meet and work with Dr. Dorothy Kemp might be inclined to ask the Baton Rouge Business Report, “Well, what took you so long?” As the Director of Educational Support Services and Learning Specialist at the Cox Communications Academic Center for Student-Athletes, Dorothy has had a tremendous impact of the trajectory of some of our greatest LSU student-athletes. Serving as President-Elect for the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA), she has been an integral part of ROAR, a reading program designed to help student-athletes with underdeveloped reading skills improve through one-on-one reading intervention tactics and techniques. She has been a driving force behind our record-breaking Graduation Success Rate (GSR) setting us apart from our SEC peer institutions!
