Interactive Programing: “LGBTQ+ Project”

In this LGBTQ+ Project training, you will learn some basic LGBTQ+ terminology and ways to make your language more inclusive, identify some of the privileges of being a straight, non-transgender person, discuss the coming out process, and go over some ways that you can be a better ally to LGBTQ+ students, faculty, staff, and other peers/colleagues. Because members of the LGBTQ+ community belong to multiple groups within LSU Athletics, it would be a great opportunity to help build bridges and remove the stigma that is sometimes linked to marginalized groups.

The LGBTQ+ Project has created an online version of the Safe Space Training offered via Moodle.  The new Moodle Safe Space Training is self-paced over the course of one week.  The trainings are opened on Mondays and close on Fridays. You are welcome to do the entire training in one sitting (roughly 4 hours), or you can do a little each day.  The Moodle course is open to anyone with an LSU email address.
