Black & Brown Male Mental Health Takes Center Stage

The African American Cultural Center in partnership with the Student Health Center and Office of Civil Rights and Title IX are hosting JUST HEAL, BRO a Black Male Mental Health Panel in the LSU Student Union Theatre on Wednesday, 11/9 at 7pm.

ABOUT JUST HEAL, BRO

Just Heal, Bro is designed to help Black/Brown men:

  • Find strength in vulnerability and mental/emotional healing through education and community

  • Develop emotional intelligence and tools for resiliency cultivation

  • Cultivate brotherhood and community amongst each other

  • Foster Black male healing journeys through culturally responsive solutions and strategies for self-care

Depression and suicidal rates have drastically increased with Black boys and men so we have been intentional about our urgent mission to galvanize Black men around strategies for healing individually and in brotherhood.  In a safe, male-only space, men of all walks of life converge on an emotional and mental healing journey...together.  The tour panel is led by credible, transparent Black men who share both experiential and clinical expertise along with highlighting local clinicians.
