Keeping the CSVA Hall of Fame FRESH

If you’ve ever wondered who has the best Director of Video in college football, look no further than to the second floor of the Football Operations Building. There you will find Doug Aucoin, a 26-year veteran of the business who has transformed the idea of “cutting up film” to a multi-dimensional art form where computer technology and database management meet authentic relationship building and excellence. This season, Aucoin was inducted into the 2022 Collegiate Sports Video Associations' (CSVA) Sports Film & Video Hall of Fame.

Aucoin says he didn’t take the typical path saying that, “I was my Dad and brother’s shadow serving as their ‘assistant’ with the Saints as a 14 year-old.” He used his speech to reflect on traits that it took to get to where he is today. “If you’re going to put your name on it, you better get it right!” Sound advice coming one who has served as video coordinator for some of the best football coaches in America!
